Karlie Flamingo: Christian Rahn is the new director of the area Trade Marketing

Since June, Christian Rahn (39) has been responsible as Director Trade Marketing for the international marketing activities of the PPG Pet Products Group (Karlie Heimtierbedarf GmbH, Flamingo NV).

Karlie Flamingo continues to expand its international marketing activities and increasingly builds on employees that enjoy contributing their creativity and do everything so that people”s favourite pets feel good all around. Christian Rahn is new in the team, and took over the management of the area trade marketing since June 1st.

“Mr Rahn has been active in leading positions in the marketing and sales area for German and international commercial companies for many years. Most recently, he was employed for the Dufry AG in Basel. With his well-founded background knowledge as retail and marketing manager Mr Rahn will coordinate and realize the further strengthening and national and international expansion of the brand Karlie Flamingo”, explains Dr. Angelika Westerwelle, Manager for Karlie Flamingo.

The new area of responsibility of Christian Rahn includes the structuring and management of the area Trade Marketing with the departments marketing, trade concepts, graphics, advertisement, PR and fair and exhibition.

“We produce more than 700.000 first class quality products for animals every year. Currently we are offering over 8.000 items for dogs, cats, small animals, birds, fish and also horses. New articles are added almost on a daily basis, this makes our work very diversified and interesting”, says Christian Rahn about his new challenges. “With innovative marketing activities and creative POS activities we will present our products even better, especially in the worldwide pet shop trade. This way we convince the customers of the excellent quality, functionality and the benefits that the animals have.”
