SKIDATA’s successful start to the ski season

The start of the ski season was celebrated at the Rettenbach Glacier on October 21 with a great event. International ski teams opened the 2016-17 ski season in the Alps with a race in Sölden and the SKIDATA ski service team once again finished their work in many ski resorts just in time for the season start. But it isn’t just in Austria that winter sports fans are eagerly awaiting the beginning of the season: people love having fun on the slopes in many other ski resorts all over the world – including Japan, for example, where soon skiers can look forward to an especially convenient ski experience in Nagano’s Hakuba Valley ski resort.

To turn many small ski areas into one joint ski region: this vision is currently being fulfilled in Japan, where a total of 11 ski resorts and 15 cable car companies in Hakuba Valley are receiving a single ticketing system from SKIDATA. SKIDATA service technicians who are on duty around the world will be responsible for ensuring everything runs smoothly after installation. Bjarne Eckardt, senior representative of SKIDATA Japan, says: „It is with great pleasure that we support Hakuba Valley in its efforts to become the largest ski resort in Japan. Together with our technicians, our team is making the best solutions for access to the ski areas a reality.“
