Match & Meet

Agritechnica 2015: Systems & Components supports the supplier industry with online matchmaking for international business

Match & Meet

Success through networking (Source: DLG e. V., Frankfurt/Main, Germany)

(DLG). Contacts are the key to success in the business world. The market is driven by supply and demand. Especially in the run-up to a trade fair, conventional scheduling gets pushed to the bottom of the pile by all the other priorities in day-to-day business. It’s at times like this that exhibitors need a matchmaking tool that helps them establish international business contacts before, during and after the trade fair.

DLG (German Agricultural Society), the host of Agritechnica in Hanover, will once again be offering its high-calibre Match & Meet service for exhibitors and trade visitors. Registration is free and has already opened. Communication within the online matchmaking service takes place in English. A valid admission ticket to Agritechnica entitles the holder to participate in the personal meetings on site.

Time is precious
Match & Meet identifies potential business partners with mutual interests and brings them together – directly and individually. This way, exhibitors and visitors are enabled to achieve their objectives much more efficiently. Interested parties register online and then use the online platform to describe the profile of their company, as well as products or services that they offer and/or need. As soon as they have completed registration, their profile is activated.

Registered users can browse the user catalogue by keyword or free text fields to find suitable business partners. The tool allows users to set up, confirm or (if necessary) cancel appointments and to make arrangements to meet up in person at the trade fair. Once confirmed, appointments are automatically entered and stored in a personal meeting schedule. Conversations will take place at the fair and at the stand of the respective exhibitor. The standardized 30-minute appointment slots allow interested parties to make even more effective use of their visit and to save valuable time and resources.

Success through networking
Systems & Components will be held from 10 to 14 November 2015 (Preview Days: 8 and 9 November) under the aegis of Agritechnica, the world’s leading trade fair for agricultural machinery in Hanover. Displaying a wide range of products, the Systems & Components platform provides exhibitors and visitors with a symbiosis of scientific research, existing systems, modules and components presented by innovative suppliers as well as high-end farm equipment.

Dr Raffaele Talarico, who is in charge of the Systems & Components exhibition and the Technical Programme, explains the purpose of the online platform: „Agricultural engineering has clearly developed into a technology leader. The Systems & Components suppliers“ platform has therefore been opened up to new industries. Pioneering sectors such as aerospace, automotive, road construction, mining and shipbuilding customers already use standards set by the agricultural engineering industry. We see tremendous scope for the entire supplier industry to use our online Match & Meet service to conduct even more targeted expert dialogues and initiate international business contacts with synergy effects.“

About Systems & Components
Systems & Components was first established as an independent area under the umbrella of the world’s largest agricultural trade fair, Agritechnica, in 2013. Systems & Components offers suppliers an international professional platform to present systems, modules and components for the agricultural engineering industry and related industrial sectors. The first Agritechnica was held in 1985, and then every two years in Frankfurt. The world’s leading trade fair for agricultural engineering has been held in Hanover since 1995.

The organiser, DLG e. V. (Deutsche Landwirtschaft-Gesellschaft, or German Agricultural Society), based in Frankfurt am Main, was founded by the engineer and writer Max Eyth in 1885 and numbers over 26,000 members today. The independent DLG promotes exchanges of knowledge and shapes opinion as an open forum. Over 200 full time employees and more than 3,000 voluntary experts work out solutions for the agricultural and food sectors. The DLG’s well-known test centre for technology and farm inputs, which is the largest of its kind in the world, is accredited and notified nationally and internationally.

The DLG has organised trade exhibitions in the agricultural and food sectors for over 125 years. The best known leading trade fairs apart from Agritechnica include EuroTier, EnergyDecentral and, with Koelnmesse, Anuga FoodTec.
