Today, 15 September, marks one year since the publication of both ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015. This milestone also means that organisations currently certified to the previous versions of both standards; ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 14001:2004, are already one year closer to the transition deadline in September 2018.

Dr Duchting, Managing Director at SICcast explained, „Seeing business benefits as a direct result of 3rd party certification was imperative for SICcast. As a direct result of our ISO 9001:2015 certificate, the business has received a number of new enquiries which we are starting to realise the return on.“
UK based Terex Trucks have seen steady performance improvements as a result of their ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 certificates; „Our goal was to have a management system in place to help us improve quality, our products and processes. Since October, our performance statistics have continued to improve and we intend to capitalise on this,“ explained Terex Trucks Quality Manager, Martin Dolan.
Steve Williams, LRQA System and Governance Manager explained that „by going for transition now, our assessors will be able to help organisations to identify any gaps in their system which need to be addressed in-order to meet the requirements of the new standards. This will ensure that they have time to make the necessary revisions to their systems before the end of the transition period“.
