APCOA PARKING with robust first quarter business

Stuttgart, 16 May 2014 – APCOA PARKING Group’s business proved robust in the first quarter of 2014. Despite sales being impacted by disadvantageous currency effects from Norway and Sweden, revenues remained stable at 160.2 million Euro, trailing previous Q1 figures by only 0.8 percent (161.5 million). Adjusted for negative currency effects, overall sales grew by 3.4 million Euro compared to last year’s figures. Germany alone accounted for 1.7 million Euro of sales growth from the city and shopping centre business due to good weather conditions.

At comparable currency rates and adjusted for one-off costs relating to the financial restructuring activities, the EBITDA of 9.9 million Euro reached last year’s level.

APCOA PARKING Group stayed on its expansion course in Q1, adding 36 new locations to its portfolio, consisting of 7.449 managed sites now. Business development was marked by further strengthening of APCOA’s position as Europe’s leading airport parking manager, adding major contracts with London-Heathrow (UK), Bergamo (Italy) and Poznan (Poland) airports. APCOA saw its parking management clout across Europe underpinned by landmark contracts won in Roskilde (Denmark), with Network Rail in the UK, in Cracow and Wroclaw (Poland), Vienna (Austria) and new sites in Germany.

Ralf Bender, CEO of APCOA PARKING Group: „This was a good start into 2014. We have secured a stable development of our revenue and further improvement of our cost structure in a highly competitive environment.“
